Product Review: ColourPop Mar Eye Shadow Palette

Hi Y’all! I have a very exciting post about my most recent eye shadow obsession. The best part, you ask? It is SO affordable – only $12!! I’m excited to review the new ColourPop Mar palette. This beautiful bronze and blue toned palette is perfect for summertime as well as an everyday palette if you are into the peachy bronzy vibe. This is not a drill people!

This palette features 9 pressed shadows, which are my favorite ColourPop eye shadow formula. They have insane pigment payoff and minimal fall out. You will see a bit of kick back from the palette, but I don’t mind that at all for the blendibility and color payoff.

Here are the shades from top left to bottom right (swatches below):

  • El Rey: Peachy gold metallic finish
  • Wild One: Copper metallic with a orange undertone
  • Detour: True matte cobalt blue
  • Boozy: Orange metallic with a golden shimmer
  • Gridlock: Teal metallic with a slight silver shimmer
  • Sorbet: Mid-toned brown with peach undertone
  • Hwy: True sea foam green metallic with gold shimmer
  • Top Down: Deep matte dark chocolate
  • My Way: Bronze metallic copper

ColourPop Mar Eye Shadow Palette

If I had to choose my three favorite shades from this palette, they would be My Way, Gridlock, and Hwy. The pigment on these shades are SO intense. You don’t need to use a setting spray to dampen your brush to get intense payoff, but if you do, you will have some SERIOUS glam going on. I love the teal and sea foam green shade for a lower lash line pop of color.

Also, shout out to ColourPop for putting a mirror in this palette! It is such a sleek and compact palette, which makes it perfect for weekend getaways or traveling during the summer. I love that there is a matte brown shade for a crease color – I think this is a staple for every palette.

I think its a great palette if you are wanting to start to dabble in non-neutral shades. Plus, you can use the peachy shade El Ray all over the lid and blend Sorbet, the mid-tone peachy brown in the crease and outer-v of the eye and have a neutral summer eye.

I’ve been reaching for this palette ever since I got it in the mail, and I just can’t get enough. Overall the pigmentation is spot on, the blendablity of the shades are amazing, and I love the color story. I don’t have one bad thing to say about this palette…other than it is currently out of stock 😉 I will link this palette for you below!

Loreal Paradise Enchanted Eye Shadow Palette Review

Hi Y’all! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been on here with a written review – I’m sorry! I have been filming videos weekly and editing, but I want to get back to writing reviews. I’ve been dabbling in a lot of new makeup recently, especially eyeshadow! So, I figured it would be perfect to write a review for a new every day staple…

I wanted to chit chat about this little drugstore gem I stumbled upon. First and foremost, this palette smells like peach. I’m not really into the scented makeup fad that has been around for a minute, but this is a super subtle scent that I found refreshing. I have to say I’m here for this palette!

I think this is a great palette for the price. If you are new to eye shadows or just love a good neutral makeup look, I think this palette is perfect! You get a mix of mattes, shimmers, and metallic shades. If you like the bronze and peachy vibe for eye looks, then this is your palette!

Below you will see swatches from left to right starting with the top row on the far left. Loreal Paradise Enchanted Eye Shadow Palette Swatches

The first two shades swatched (1 & 2 – these shadows don’t have shade names) were a bit patchy, but when I blended these shades on ht eyes they blended out pretty easily. I’m not super disappointed in these shades because these are highlighting shades for me. I also love that shades 4 & 8 are matte because these two mixed together make the perfect peachy mid-tone brown crease shade.

I was a bit nervous about shade 7, which is that pink shade with what appears to be glitter in the pan. However, when you use this shade on the lid, it is more of a peachy-toned pink which is universally flattering. I think it is a beautiful all over the lid color.

I also really enjoyed the glitter and metallic finish of 3, 5, 9, and 12. You can use these dry for great color pay off, but they also get a more amped up finish when you dampen your brush with a bit of MAC Fix+ or water.

Over all, I think for $11.99 (at target) this palette is a great neutral palette. The pan size is on the smaller size, but I think the pigmentation and blendablity makes the palette well worth the price tag.

Have you tried the new Loreal Paradise Enchanted Eye Shadow Palette?? What other drug store items have you been loving?? Make sure to comment below! I’d love to hear.
